For the third year running, Johnson & Johnson Global Community Impact is collaborating with One Young World to offer scholarships to 12 aspiring young leaders across the globe to participate in the 2019 Johnson & Johnson One Young World Scholarship Program. To apply, applicants must be aged 18-30 years and working on the front lines of delivering care, with a passion and commitment to deliver positive change. These can include: nurses, midwives, community health workers, doctors, social entrepreneurs, digital health experts, and those working for a social enterprise, medical facility or a nongovernmental organization.
As well as attending the upcoming One Young World Summit in London, UK (October 22-25), the scholar recipients will receive individual coaching from senior Johnson & Johnson leaders throughout the six-month program (September 2019-February 2020) to further develop their aspiration, strategy and/or initiatives. They will also be buddied with 2019 J&J delegates, participating in the program, to co-create innovative ideas and share best practice.
J&J has been a partner of One Young World since 2013, building young leadership capacity across the globe to change the trajectory of health for humanity. The J&J OYW Scholarship Program was launched in 2017 to further extend the partnership offering, and provide external young health leaders with the opportunity to participate in this six month leadership and capacity building program. To date, 20 scholars from across the globe have taken part in the program, collaborating with their peers to build and strengthen their organisations and initiatives, and develop innovative solutions for some of the world’s most pressing health issues.
